Botswana IFSC is a government agency which was incorporated in April 2003. Its role is to establish and develop Botswana as a world-class hub to facilitate the delivery of a wide range of cross-border financial services to clients in other countries.
Botswana is in mainland Africa and therefore the company is well positioned to facilitate business resulting from increasing financial flows between major industrial economies and Africa, as well as intra-African trade. The financial services must be provided to clients outside Botswana and in currencies other than the Pula.

The objects and functions of the Agency are: (a) to promote, in collaboration with the Board of Investment established under the Investment Promotion Act 2000, the development of the financial services industry and of an international financial centre in Mauritius;(b) to prepare and implement a plan for human resource development and training in the field of financial services; (c) to act as a one-stop service with a view to ensuring that any relevant permit is obtained expeditiously; (d) to give such directions as may be necessary to a public sector agency for the expeditious and timely processing of an application for any relevant permit; (e) to advise the Minister of Economic Development, Financial Services and Corporate Affairs on matters relating to the development of the financial services industry in Mauritius.

Formed in February or 1995, the Seychelles International Business Authority, is in the heart of Victoria, the Seychelles' capital. SIBA is a body corporate with board members being prominent persons of both government and the private sector.
